This small but precious book rediscovers Eberhard Schrammen (1886 -1947) and Toni von Haken (1897-1981), two Bauhaus artists whose production stayed unknown for many years. Schrammen and von Haken met when they were students at the Bau- haus school in Weimar, Germany, and got married in 1920: it was the beginning of a life spent together, working on inno- vating graphic design and its techniques. At the end of the 20s they started to produce what was then known as Foto- Grafik, a procedure to impress directly on photographic paper the shadows casted by their decoupages. The extreme attention and love for details transmit with simple allusions the shadows of their decoupages an enchanted atmo- sphere, even in the most mundane scenes that they depict. 14 Foto-Grafik from 1929 -1930 have been reproduced in this small but precious book.
